Weather your writing too impress you’re teacher, two let you’re grandmother no your thinking about her, too up-date you’re boss on company events, or to complete the fiction novel you’re half been working on four the past for years, mastery of the english language is probably important to you.
I can’t even begin to elaborate on the errors contained in this sentence. We’re just not going to talk about them right now (If any of you have OCD, I feel your pain. You can skip down to the last paragraph and read the corrected version of it a few times if that will make you feel better before continuing). Let’s just say English is not a simple language to master.
Maybe you have a pretty good handle on English but you want to know how you can make your characters pop instead of lying flat on the page. Maybe you know all your grammar rules by heart but you absolutely hate writing and always draw a blank when you sit down to work. Maybe you are a student who writes well but you want your papers to stand out from the crowd as polished masterpieces. Or maybe you have no clue what grammar is (maybe you thought it was another name for grandma?), can’t spell to save your life, and avoid anything English like the plague.
Regardless of why you are here or what your level of experience is, Righting Your Writing can help. It’s all about perfecting your writing while making it fun. Although exactness and perfection are important in writing, drilling these things won’t help anyone enjoy it. So what you won’t find here are essays on prepositional phrases and proper comma use (although we might talk about those things a little…). It’s actually not all about English. It’s more about helping people make sense of it (all while having fun of course).
So whether you’re writing to impress your teacher, to let your grandmother know you’re thinking about her, to update your boss on company events, or to complete the fiction novel you have been working on for the past four years, mastery of the English language is important to you. Righting Your Writing will help you figure it out (and hopefully make you smile and maybe enjoy yourself too).
